Community Garden |
The Ridgefield Community Garden is a friendly
and inviting place to grow your vegetables and flowers, meet and exchange ideas,
and learn the joys of gardening. We put in 12 plots today to kick off our
community garden.
Rules & Regulations
Only organic fertilizers may be used in the gardens.
Absolutely no chemical herbicides, pesticides or fungicides may be used.
Biodegradable mulches are preferred. If black plastic is used it must be removed by October 15th.
No perennial vegetables or flowers or they will be at the mercy of the plow.
All paths should be kept clear.
Do not discard, store, or plant anything outside of your plot.
You may suppress weeds with organic mulch. Rugs are not appropriate mulch.
Tools must not be left in the paths provided to insure access by gardeners.
No pets are permitted in the garden area.
Children must be supervised.
All fences, stakes and other man made material must be removed by October 15th or a $25.00 clean fee will be assessed. If there is a hardship issue, contact the stewards.
Failure to comply with the above rules may
result in having reservations refused in subsequent years.
